Salento, Colombia
21.01.13 - 28.01.13
Salento is a stunning little place set amongst the coffee region of Colombia, close to Armenia. I stayed at a fab hostel called 'La Serrana' about 15 minutes walk out of town. Its impossible to get a bad view at this place as your completely surrounded by glorious, green mountains. Its the perfect spot to relax a while and laze around in the hammocks with a good book.I ended up staying a week and probably now have a full on coffee addiction, having local organic coffee on tap.

Tea Picking in Munnar
After watching Indian women pick tea leaves with their bare hands in Munnar, I will never drink a cuppa in the same way again! Working long hours for probably very little money, these incredible ladies pick away with a big smile on their faces waving to you as you walk past. Driving through this Hill Station in the Western Ghats is aabsolutely breathtaking. At one point we climbed 2,500 meters above sea level and crossed the border into Tamil Nadu. It's chilly up there.

Up, Up and Away....
Ballooning with Mother for her 50th birthday treat over the Essex countryside. I wish every Monday morning could be spent this way, especially the champagne part.
Our pilot Glen was quite a character and managed to land us in one piece, phew. Luckily we had no angry farmers shouting at us for landing in their field.
